My Brother Knights;

A lot has happened over the past few months in regard to our Diocesan seminarians.  We had three men ordained to the priesthood in June, we had ten men leave the program and we had fifteen men enter the program this month.

Consequently, we now have thirty-two men studying for "His" Holy Priesthood in the Diocese of Pittsburgh.  These thirty-three men need our support, both spiritually and financially.  The councils, assemblies, circles and chapters in the Diocese of Pittsburgh have been outstanding supporters of our seminarians in the past, and we need for that support to continue or increase.

Above all, we need our members to pray for the seminarians and not just at our meetings.  They need your prayers in your everyday life - at your kitchen tables, in your cars, etc.

By clicking on the cross near the bottom of this letter you will have access to our unique Vocations Support Program, including the latest list of seminarians studying for the Diocesan Priesthood, the Council/Assembly/Circle/Chapter Vocations questionnaire and the RSVP contact information list.  Please complete the questionnaire and send to your Chapter coordinator and to me as soon as possible.

We encourage you to share this information with your members and consider supporting as many of our seminarians as you can afford.  Our "goal" again this year is to have three units adopt each man with $1,500.00 in total support.  However, we need to balance our support.  We have some seminarians being supported by four or five units, while others only have the support of one or two units.

Do not hesitate to contact me, or your Chapter Coordinator, if you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding our vocations support

Vivat Jesus,

Stanley A. Glowaski, PSD
